Ambient Energy Harvesting

June 2024 - Now

Researching and developing a PCB that combines miniature voltaic, Thermoelectric Generators (TEG), and Radio Frequency (RF) ambient energy to capture the waste energy in the room and use them to constantly power those ultra low energy devices.

Currently: Researching and collecting data on individual energy harvesting methods

Pump Fiction

Oct 2024 - Now

Developing a minimalistic, self-powered stormwater drain-grate clogging monitoring system that revolutionizes urban flooding solutions. Taking advantage of conductivity sensors to detect leaf ion content, our patentable innovation is an effective data collection method that doesn't hinder drainage.

Currently: Developing second prototype to be deployed for testing with the help of local government officials.

Growing up with a strong passion for crafts, I've always enjoyed engineering and building projects that have realistic applications to solving niche problem in my life (ie. A voice-controlled module that turns off lights for me).

I love the environment of an all-in team (Hackathons are tons of fun)

I'm a Taekwondo Poomsae Athelete

Our team, Pump Fiction, received an extended offer among near 200 teams in our category (Energy & Environment) to attend the 2025 Conrad Challenge Finalist Summit in Houston!

After weeks of waiting, our project was place top amongst thousands of competitors. Unfortunately, we were one step away from becoming a finalist.

Taekwondo Canada Nationals Championship @ Montreal

I was honoured to represent team BC in Canada's nationals for poomsae. In this competition, our junior male team (15-17) won gold in our category. Now, we are representing Team Canada to compete in the upcoming Pan America Poomsae Open @ Mexico.
